Dr Botha is the Clinical Director at FEMBRYO and is a Gynaecologist and registered sub Specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Endoscopic Surgery. He practiced as a General Practitioner in Okahandja , Namibia before completing his post graduate studies at the University of Pretoria , obtaining his MMed (cum laude) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. He is an Honorary consultant at the University of the Free State and is currently the President of the SASREG (Southern African Society of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy) Board. His field of interest includes endometriosis and its impact on fertility, recurrent pregnancy loss and endoscopic gynaecological surgery.
Dr Jaco Strydom is a Gynaecologist and Sub specialist in Reproductive Medicine. After finishing his post-graduate studies at the University of the Free State, he took up a post as Consultant in the department for another 2 years, where he was actively involved in the Unit for Human reproduction. He then moved to full time private practice in Potchefstroom. In 2013 he became a Senior Specialist at the Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of the Free State and became the Clinical Head of the Unit for Human Reproduction and Endoscopic Surgery. He is currently still involved in training of Sub-specialists as an honorary consultant at the University. He qualified in 2016 as a Sub specialist in Reproductive Medicine by obtaining the Certificate of the College of Medicine (Cum Laude). His special interests are Fertility treatment and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery.
Dr Wendy Sieg is a General Practitioner who completed her studies Cum Laude at Stellenbosch University. She was also the recipient of the Rector’s Award for Excellent Achievement in Academics and received the Award for the Best Undergraduate Student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University. She focuses on women’s health, specifically in younger women, as well as reproductive medicine.
Dr. Debbie Prince is a Specialist Gynaecologist who has been involved in women’s health care since her community service in 2010. She has a Diploma in Obstetrics (2010), is a Fellow in the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2016) as well as a MMED (O&G) (2016) from Stellenbosch University. She received the UNISTEL Young Researchers Award in 2015. Dr. Prince has an interest in fertility, gynaecology and minimally invasive surgery and has completed her GESEA Level 1 Bachelor in Endoscopy (2016). She is passionate about caring for women and providing the best available care to her patients.
Professionalism and efficiency are her priorities. She completed her nursing degree (B.Cur) at the University of Johannesburg (RAU). As Patient Coordinator she believes that the patient needs to be informed at all times. She spends a lot of her time on giving accurate information and explaining the process step by step. It gives her great joy to walk alongside each patient through their journey.
Also known as Sr Bea, is a patient coordinator at the clinic. She obtained her nursing degree (B Cur) at the University of Port Elizabeth. Providing her patients with adequate information and plenty of emotional support is of the utmost importance to her. Having undergone IVF herself, she is able to fully comprehend her patients struggles with infertility and she strives to make their journey as easy as possible.
Elzet completed her BSoc.Sc(nursing) degree at the University of Freestate.
She worked as clinic sister and also as midwife in maternity ward.
As she also walked the fertility treatment road, she understands the emotional and physical challenges involved with fertility treatment. Elzet is a compassionate caring sister who puts her patient’s needs first. She is the sister in charge of our theatre and day ward.
Sr Tessa manages the front office and is also involved with patient liason. She also assists with patient coordination. Tessa was previously employed by Dr Paul Dalmeyer, the founder of what is now Fembryo. She is truly a mother to our patients.
Michelle is the Lab Director and obtained her PhD from the University of Stellenbosch. Coming from an academic background, her goals for the laboratory and the clinic are to improve the pregnancy rates and initiate new and state-of-the-art technologies into the program
Wilhelm is a hardworking and diligent Embryologist. His excellent work ethic reflects in his laboratory results. He has been part of the team for the past 11 years.
Frannette is the Financial Manager for Fembryo. She has been part of the team from day one and has seen it grow. Her passion for people and professionalism makes her a vital team member.
Maritsa Griesel is the Practice/Marketing Manager and recently joined the Fembryo Family. Being a mother of 3 boys, she is thrilled to be part of a team that wants everyone to have a family. She comes from a medical marketing background after studying Public Relations Management at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Her focus is teamwork and her passion is people.
Monique is Dr Botha's Personal Assistant. She ensures that the administration of the practice runs smoothly. Her professionalism and loyalty define her personality.
Linda is the Accounts Administrator for the Fembryo Consulting Rooms. She has been working in the medical field for the past 18 years. Also needing some help to fall pregnant at first, she understands the emotional and financial difficulties the patients may have to face.
Pam De Beer joined the team at the Fembryo Consulting Rooms recently as receptionist. Her vibrant personality and professionalism will assist you telephonically to make appointments and she will direct any queries or questions you may have to the rest of the team.
Joyce greets you with a warm cup of filter coffee and a beautiful smile. "What a wonderful way to start your day!". She is an asset to Fembryo. Her friendliness, dedication and perfectionism exceed all expectations.
Dr Philip Laubscher has been the Clinic's resident Anaethetist for the past 26 years. He is a General Practitioner, specializing in Anaesthetics. He matriculated at Grey College in Bloemfontein and obtained his BSc at Rhodes University in 1975. He continued his medical studies at the University of Pretoria, where he obtained his MBChB in 1981. Dr Laubscher has worked very closely with Dr Paul Dalmeyer and Dr Danie Botha over the years. He has become part of the fertility family at Fembryo.
Robin Farrington is a Counselling Psychologist in private practice since 2003. He became a psychologist after a successful career in horticulture. He has personal experience with the social, emotional and psychological aspects associated with infertility as both his son and daughter were conceived through IVF. As a result of his own experience, he has insight and is committed to providing assistance to couples that are going through a similar process.
Lynette Dean is a Counselling Psychologist in Port Elizabeth. She obtained her BA Degree through UNISA before going on to NMMU (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University), formely UPE, to do her Honours and Masters Degrees. She obtained both her Honours and Masters Degrees, Cum Laude.
